Rugged Roads Headlight Protector for BMW F800GS Adventure

tbni logo

Like all motorcyclists and adventure motorcyclists we all love tinkering and new bits of kit. ABRs more than any I believe love protective stuff, little farkles that protect more expensive items on the bike, are reasonably priced but look mean! Let’s be honest the look of the kit is probably its biggest asset, of course in this case we have a £40 unit protecting a £500 unit, but it looks cool and makes everything else look a bit more serious! And that is half the fun!

Don’t forget the other half though! This is after all a serious piece of kit, it does have a purpose, namely to guard the headlight from stones and debris, and this piece of kit is serious enough to do it! From the second you take it out of the packaging you will feel how sturdy it is, it is obvious that this will protect your headlights from impact of flying debris and it will only have to do it once and you will be very glad you spend the cash!

For your info here are the details from www.ruggedroads.co.uk

Amzer Crusta for Apple iPhone 6 Plus UnBoxing & Installation

Amzer Crusta Unboxing Review and Installation

As you will know from my previous posts on cases and protection fro my phones I am generally speaking a fan and user of tough cases, the OtterBox Defender, OtterBox Preserver and Griffin Survivor would normally factor in my top 5 cases.  Although one lazy Sunday morning a Facebook advertisement for an ‘Amzer Crusta’ case appeared on my news feed.  It was being marketed as a tough case with a build in tempered glass cover (front and rear) thus maintaining the feeling and a lot of the looks of a ‘naked’ iPhone.  The obvious exception being the large bumper round it!

I was intrigued enough to look closer and although Amzer as a brand didn’t appear to be overly familiar in the UK it did seem to have a good customer base in the USA, which seemed to be fairly positive.  So I ordered one.

Motorcycle Live 2014 – Birmingham NEC

2014 Honda Prototype Africa Twin

This year I took myself over to Birmingham for what is meant to be one the best Motorcycle Shows in the UK.  It was my first time over and without doubt I will be booking my tickets ASAP for the 2015 Show.

With a great variety of manufacturers present along with pretty much all the accessories you could safely carry away the show has a lot to see and do.

This year the show piece, in fact the show stopper was the Kawasaki H2 and H2R, and when the track ready version was put on the dyne the show literally did stop!  The ear defenders they were handing out were actually a requirement, if you had any sense!  This bike is deafening, more importantly this bike is impressive!

You can check out my YouTube Video of it on the Dyno below or click here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lX_8unMifs&list=UUESG0Ppfxruj–1Gzs7Esog

Here is a Gallery showcasing some of the other outstanding machines on display – and check out that Honda ‘Prototype’ – is this the new soon to be released Africa Twin! Hell I hope so!

Sony / Game / Playstation Make a Right Balls Up of UK PS4 20th Anniversary ‘Competition’

Although this blog is now officially closed it is still getting a huge volume of hits and traffic so I have shared this here also…

View it in its new home here : http://tbni.co.uk/?p=1496

If you follow my twitter feed or Sony / Playstation or Game UK you will no doubt have seen the fury spread across the internet of foul play, cheating, link sharing and as Sony as so very prone too, hacking! #4thePlayers #notfortheplayers #forthecheats

On 15-19 December 2014 Playstation UK and Game UK ran a competition that meant the first 100 correct entries to this competition got a opportunity to purchase – at full price (£399) – a 20th Anniversary Edition of the console.  One of only 13,500 globally, so a very rare item indeed.  Well at least that was their plan until link sharing, web site crashing, cheating and hacking took over and left the genuine gamer with no chance whatsoever of bagging one of these much sought after machines.

Allegations flew but facts remain, users (cheaters) ended up with multiple consoles…

You will see from the screen grabs above that this user even claims to be a genuine gamer, but is so very kindly prepared to accepted £3000 for a console (but yet they mean so much to him and he is so blessed) yet towards the end of his posting he is getting rather abusive and showing his true colours!
