STATEMENT ISSUED FROM THE MANX GRAND PRIX RACES : Mauro Poncini died in an incident during Tuesday’s qualifying at the 2026 Manx Grand Prix.
Darren Duncan, on board the 125GP Honda, owned and prepared by former competitor Graham McLaughlin, this year's winner of the revived Aubrey McAuley Memorial Cup. This machine, painted bright yellow with black stripes, not only looks but also sounds like a bee—earning it the affectionate nickname ‘The Bee’ among race fans.
