2025 Facelift Hyundai i20N is coming… To Australia :
Hyundai have confirmed that a facelift version of its extremely popular i20N hot hatch is coming, but only to Australia.
Hyundai no longer produce any of their ICE hot hatch variants in the UK / EU, focusing solely on performance electric variants such as the simply stunning Ioniq 5N.
The i30N and i20N were wildly considered as superb hot hatches, a throwback to a class of car that was popular for its performance, handling, and looks all presented in a very affordable package. The i20N would have set back a UK customer around £25,000. The Ioniq 5N comes in at £65,000!
The first arrivals of the updated 2025 Hyundai i20 N hot hatch are expected to hit Australia around November.
It is the mid-life facelift for Hyundai’s smallest high-performance car, but the updates are relatively mild.
Australia is the only market globally where the entire Hyundai N range – the i20 N, i30 N hatch, i30 Sedan N and Ioniq 5N – is sold.
Prices start from $35,500 plus on-road costs, an increase of $510 for the 2025 model – with options of $595 for single-tone premium paint, and $1000 for two-tone finishes.
Design changes include restyled 18-inch machined alloy wheels, a new front grille pattern, and matte black front and rear Hyundai badges (replacing silver).
Hyundai Australia claims the front bumper has been “redesigned”, that redesign seems to feature a new grille pattern.
Inside, LED interior lights have been added, the steering wheel wears Hyundai’s new-style satin-finish badge, and the infotainment screen gains over-the-air software updates.
Support for the Hyundai Bluelink smartphone app has been added, with remote vehicle tracking, remote control of the air conditioning, an SOS emergency call function, and the ability to send navigation routes to the infotainment screen, among other features.
There are no mechanical changes for the 2025 i20 N, so it carries over a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 150kW and 275Nm, the latter rising to 304Nm on overboost.
It is matched with a six-speed manual transmission driving the front wheels.
