2026 Cookstown 100 competitors received an unexpected Christmas present when the directors of Cookstown & District Motorcycle Club announced the groundbreaking news that they would receive Free and Reduced entry fees for next year’s event.

Christmas is a season of giving, and the Cookstown & District Motor Cycle Club (MCC) is proud to announce it has a special gift for competitors ahead of next year’s Cookstown “100” road races.

As the longest-running national road racing organisation – second only to the Isle of Man TT – the Cookstown MCC has built a legacy of resilience and innovation in motorsport.

From the early days, when race legends such as Mike Hailwood, Philip McCallen, Robert Dunlop, and Michael Dunlop each scored their first road race wins at Cookstown, to pioneering initiatives like the “Man of the Meeting” award in 1974 (£100.00), the first club to allow Robert Dunlop to return to racing, following his 1994 IOM TT crash, and hosting the only road race worldwide during the 2020 pandemic, the Cookstown club has consistently sought ways to support riders and the sport.

In 2026, the 104th Cookstown “100” will feature a game-changing initiative—competitors will receive ‘FREE’ and ‘Discounted’ entry fees. This means no one will pay a full entry fee to compete at the Cookstown “100”!

Motorcycle Racing is officially back at Mondello Park for 2026 with the return of the Masters Superbike Championship. We’re still sorting out the details but we do have a calendar to announce.

We’ll be running on five race weekends between April and August, with two test days prior to the start of the race action.

Due to the late announcement of the return of the championship we were unable to find a suitable weekend for our usual two day test, so we will be running two separate Friday test days, one on each circuit layout.

Prepare a Motorcycle for Winter Storage : How To

Prepare a Motorcycle for Winter Storage : The Ultimate Guide to Winter Motorcycle Storage :

As the days get shorter and the mercury on the thermometer dips, the inevitable time has come to put your motorcycle away for winter.

Don’t just toss a sheet over it and walk away! Proper preparation is crucial to ensure your bike emerges in spring ready to ride, looking perfect and not needing a major overhaul.

This guide covers everything you need to do, from cleaning to fuelling and fluid management as well as what I feel as the most important think for any bike over the winter – the application of ACF-50.

Step 1: The Deep Clean : 🧼

Before any protective measures can be applied, your bike must be spotless. Dirt, road salt, and grime are your enemy; they trap moisture and accelerate corrosion.

  • Wash Thoroughly: Give your motorcycle the best wash of its life. Use a quality cleaner and a soft sponge. Pay special attention to the underside, swingarm, wheels, and any hard-to-reach crevices where crud hides.
  • Dry Completely: This is non-negotiable. Use a microfibre towel, an air blower, or take it for a very short, slow ride (5-10 minutes) to let engine heat evaporate water from tricky spots like the exhaust headers and electrical connectors.

🧼 What Cleaner? My personal recommendation for a general purpose motorcycle cleaner is SDOC100. It is available in a 750ml spray bottle, but the real value is in the 5 litre drum. It is excellent stuff and eats through dirt and grime with very little effort needed. It is expensive stuff but well worth it, and five litres will last a considerable period of time.

Conrod Motorsport Launches for 2026 TT Races

No sooner than the news broke that Burrows Engineering and RK Racing had parted ways with Conor Cummins did the announcement come that Conor has formed his own Team which will be competing at the 2026 Isle of Man TT Road Races…

CUMMINS LAUNCHES CONROD MOTORSPORT FOR TT 2026

WORDS: IOM TT RACES OFFICIAL

Conor Cummins has announced the launch of his own Conrod Motorsport team for the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races, marking a bold new chapter in his career as he prepares to celebrate 20 years since his TT debut.

Inspired by his successful Douglas-based coffee business Conrod’s, launched in 2015, Cummins’ new team signals both a personal milestone and a fresh competitive challenge. The initial programme will see Conrod Motorsport contest the two Superstock TT races in 2026 on a machine to be confirmed, while Cummins continues to review his options for the Superbike and Supersport classes.

Speaking of the new venture, Conor said: “I’m really looking forward to the new challenge of running my own team. It’s a big step and a bit of a leap into the unknown, but it’s something I’ve considered doing at various stages throughout my career. With the growth of the business, now feels like the right time, and I’m really excited to be bringing my two passions together.”

“The competition is tougher than ever, so I’m under no illusion as to how much work this is going to take. But I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some great people and great teams over the years, and I’ll be bringing all that know-how together to make sure I’m in the strongest possible position when it’s time to go racing.”
