Unfortunately the 2024 Macau Grand Prix turned into an absolute wash out for the motorcycles resulting in the sole qualifying session that ran becoming what determined for the placings for the Motorcycle Grand Prix.
The 2024 Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix was cancelled on Saturday night.
Wet weather, which had plagued the event all week, eventually forced the cancellation of the race.
This is how the circuit looked 10 mins before the start of the scheduled warmup prior to the Motorcycle Grand Prix.
The FHO Racing BMW Motorrad team is delighted to announce itβs rider line-up for this yearβs Macau Grand Prix, where last yearβs winner Peter Hickman will again be joined by nine-time Macau winner Michael Rutter, alongside Craig Neve and a last minute addition to the squad aboard the BMW M 1000 RR is Davey Todd.
Faye Ho returns to her home race with a formable four rider-line up and will be looking to defend Hickyβs dominant win last year. Joining the team last minute is the 2024 National Superstock Champion Davey, who FHO Racing are helping out after his ride for this yearβs Macau GP unfortunately fell through.
Davey is no stranger to BMW machinery after an impressive year on the Roads, where he took his maiden Senior TT win, as well as his successful campaign in the National Superstock Championship.
Back at the workshop the FHO Racing team are busy preparing the BMW M 1000 RRs, which will soon travel to Macau ready to be let lose on the Guia Circuit when first practice gets underway on Thursday 14 November.
Davey, who previously rode for the team during the 2018 season, will ride the teamβs BMW M1000RR Superbike at the famous street race in the far east next month. We would like to thank Phillip Neill and Tas Racing for entrusting us with bringing Davey to compete at Macau, and also their support for the event. We very much look forward to having Davey back in the team, albeit for one race.

After a great season together in 2018, we remained friends and always said if an opportunity arises to work together again we wouldnβt say no, so when Davey called me a couple of weeks ago to ask about the possibility of running him at Macau it did not take long for me to make my decision. Davey has shown in the past two BSB rounds that he works well with the BMW, and given his great form around Macau in the past, that is something that excites me looking ahead to next month.β
