Conor Cummins Joins Burrows Engineering / RK Racing (2025)
Burrows Engineering / RK Racing have announced via a Facebook Post that Manx rider Conor Cummins will join their outfit for the 2025 season.
The Burrows Engineering by RK Racing team will field Conor Cummins for the 2025 season, having confirmed a deal that will see the Manxman ride for the Northern Irish team.
Cummins will compete in selected National Superstock events in the BSB paddock, the Northwest 200 in May, as well as riding the team’s BMW M1000RR machines in the Superbike and Superstock TT races. The 38-year-old will also contest the two Supersport TT’s for the team,with his machinery still to be confirmed. Following the Isle of Man TT, Conor will compete at the Armoy Road Races in July. Conor has also expressed interest in returning to the Tandragee 100 should it return to the Irish roads calendar.
Led by Team Principal and former TT racer John Burrows, the decision to sign Cummins signals a clear mark of intent for the Dungannon-based squad. After taking their second TT podium with Dominic Herbertson earlier this year, the signing of Cummins means they’re ideally placed to add to that tally with the Ramsey rider having stood on the rostrum on twelve previous occasions.
The Isle of Man TT has announced that the Classic TT will return in 2025. The event last ran in 2019.
The Classic TT for vintage machinery from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s first took place in 2013 and ran through to 2019.
Since 2022 the classic events and machinery have been held and raced as part of the Manx Grand Prix. One of the biggest issues for fan, riders, teams and organisation is that the new version of the MGP had been held over fewer days than the two weeks allocated for the old joint format.
For 2025, the Classic TT will return in its own right and will again run alongside the Manx GP back over the two week format in August.
The Manx GP will start on Sunday 17 August 2025 and run to Monday 25 August 2025. The Classic TT will run between 20-29 August 2025.

Qualifying kicks off on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, with five action-packed races spread across Wednesday, 27th August, and Friday, 29th August. On the opening race day, you’ll enjoy the Formula 1 TT Race, the Lightweight TT Race, and the Historic Junior TT Race. Then, on Friday, the prestigious Historic Senior TT Race will set the stage for a thrilling finale, with the Senior Classic TT Race closing out the high-speed action on the Mountain Course.

The Southern 100 Club have announced their proposed schedule changes for the 2025 Southern 100 Road Races.
PROPOSED REVISED PRACTICE & RACE SCHEDULE FOR SOUTHERN 100 ROAD RACES 2025
Southern 100 Racing, promoters of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races are proposing to amend the Practice and Race Schedule for the 2025 Road Races, which will be held Monday to Thursday 7th – 10thJuly.
Subject to the Road Closing Orders being approved it is anticipated that Practicing will commence on the afternoon of Bank Holiday Monday 7th July, between 1.45pm and 4.00pm.
Two contingency periods are proposed, the first on Wednesday 9th July between 1.15pm and 3.15pm, only to be used if any of the practice sessions are lost on Monday or Tuesday.
The second contingency period is for Thursday evening, between 6.00pm and 8.30pm, again only to be actioned if racing on Championship Day is lost.
Southern 100 Race Secretary said: ‘Safety is the highest priority, and practice is a very important component of the event, and we decided that an additional session on the Monday afternoon would ease the pressure on the evening session, especially for newcomers to the races.
‘The contingency sessions would only be activated, firstly on the Wednesday afternoon, in the event of Monday or Tuesday sessions being lost and Thursday evening, should a large part of Thursday be lost.’
The Roads Closing Order being requested is as follows:
Monday Afternoon (Bank Holiday) from 1:45pm to 4pm
Monday Evening from 6pm until 9:40pm
Tuesday Evening from 6pm until 9:40pm
Wednesday Afternoon (Contingency only to be used if we lose a prior session) from 1:15pm until 3:15pm
Wednesday Evening from 6pm until 9:40pm
Thursday Morning from 9:30am until 12:45pm
Thursday Afternoon from 1:30pm until 4:45pm
Thursday Evening (Contingency only to be used if we lose Thursday) from 6pm until 8:30pm

The Tandragee 100 has just received some great news. The North Armagh Motorcycle & Car Club have issued a press release today addressing the issue of the a section of the circuit that has been the main reason behind the lack of the event for the past two years. Work will now go ahead to fix an issue around the surface on a section of the A51 and paths the way ahead for the 2025 Tandragee 100!

On behalf of the North Armagh Motorcycle & Car Club (Tarmac Section) Ltd it is with great pleasure I confirm that we have received some extremely welcome news from the Department of Infrastructure (DfI) this afternoon. In their press release today “Infrastructure Minister John O’Dowd has announced his intention to proceed with resurfacing work later this year on a stretch of the A51”, which will enable us to progress our preparations for running the Tandragee 100 Motorcycle Road Races in 2025.
We are extremely grateful to all those who have continued to work hard behind the scenes since our last event in 2022, to the Minister and all those within DfI who have made this possible.
This is just the beginning of the hard work for us; we will now focus our full attention on securing the necessary financial resources and putting everything in place to enable us to apply for a Road Closing Order and undertake all the hundreds of activities that are needed to get the event up and running.
As a Club we are delighted, and we are, as we have always been, committed to doing everything we can to bring this awe-inspiring event back in 2025. We also wish to take this opportunity to thank all our competitors, sponsors, landowners, volunteers and spectators for their continued support.
