Roads close Friday 30th July 2021 : 2.30pm to 9.30pm.
Practice will commence once the course has been cleared by officials.
This will be followed by Hilton Car Sales Supersport Race (1) and the The Diamond Bar and Mermaid Club Lightweight Supersport Race (1) in the evening.
Roads close Saturday 31st July 10am to 7.30pm.
Full 11 race programme, with the event culminating in the Bayview Hotel, Portballintrae ‘Race of Legends’ feature race.
Please note spectators must be at the event and in situ one hour before the road closes. This will allow us to carry out all the safety requirements in good time prior to the racing. Have your wristbands at the ready in order to be directed to the right car park and viewing area.
Due to Covid-19 Restrictions and Government requirements the Armoy Club have had to introduce assigned Vantage Points for Spectators attending the 2021 Event.
The assigned vantage point is determined by the colour of the armband that will come with your program, parking is also assigned and will be near to the viewing area.

The Armoy Club have released a statement via their Facebook Page informing all Spectators that Ticket Sales are temporarily on hold.
SPECTATOR ENTRY UPDATE :
We are still receiving many enquiries every day about spectator passes. As things stand, we cannot confirm if any more will be available before race day.
We are continuing to assess the situation in regards to restrictions, the spread of the Delta variant and social distancing requirements.
The next NI Executive meeting is scheduled for Thursday 1st July. We will have no update before that date with regards to the number of spectators permitted.
We understand people are keen to get back to racing, but please be patient as the club work behind the scenes to bring you a safe and responsible race. We will update everyone as soon as we have more information.
We would like to remind you that acess to the circuit is by programme & entry wristband ONLY. Please don’t turn up on race day without the required pass as you will be turned away.
The Armoy Road Races have released info and a real teaser on what they are describing as ‘bumper entries’ for the upcoming 2021 Event.
ARMOY ROAD RACES 2021 SEES BUMPER ENTRIES
Armoy Road Races have a bumper entry this year according to Bill Kennedy MBE, Clerk of the Course.
To date, entries have been received from all over Ireland and the United Kingdom with nearly 30 of them newcomers. It would seem there is a keen interest in racing at Armoy this year and who will turn up at to race in the famous Bayview Hotel Race of Legends.
Wilson Craig’s Team Principal Darren Gilpin has confirmed not just Bolton man Davey Todd, who had a great win at the Spring Cup weekend at Oliver’s Mount, but Chris Burns from Newcastle. He said; “Davey is well known on the roads but Chris has extensive experience on all levels of racing including Moto GP, British Superbike as well as German and Dutch Superbike Championships. Pure road racing is something that Chris has wanted to do for some time now. His father was a former TT competitor and that’s part of his motivation.
“Steven Smith from Antrim will also be part of the team, and he is really looking forward to Armoy and what its 3.03 mile course has to offer.”
2021 Armoy Road Races : Guy Martin Expected for the Classic Racing
When speaking to Guy Martin, Stephen Watson, road racing’s favourite commentator broke the news that Guy Martin would (should) be racing at the 2021 Armoy Road Races.

Bill Kennedy MBE Clerk of the Course at the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club said he was thrilled to hear the news. He said, “Guy Martin has always been a great supporter of the Armoy Road Races and raced at Armoy up until 2015, thereafter he occasionally competed in classic and classic superbike races.
“We know that Guy would love to be back at Armoy and riding in the Classics race, but we also understand that his diary this year is pretty packed, including trying to achieve 300mph on a motorbike amidst a few projects the timing of which we believe have not been confirmed yet.
“Like all things Guy, until he’s on the boat and heading to Armoy, or even driving into the paddock, just before the races, we’ll not know for sure. However, his intention to race at the 2021 Armoy Road Races will be a great boost for the spectators and the Club.”
Guy who won the Torquetronix Superbike Race in 2015 for Tyco-BMW Motorrad Racing has previously said “It’s a right well organised meeting” and he “always tries to fit the Armoy in” but if he does race this year, he’ll be racing in the Senior Classics as opposed to racing in the Superbike or Open Races.
Due to the current ongoing situation with the pandemic continuing into 2021, and despite giant steps taken in the Covid vaccination process and small steps in the lifting of restrictions, it is very clear the Armoy Road Races 2021 will have to be organised in a cautious and responsible way to protect residents, race officials, competitors and spectators.
As the race dates draw closer and in order for this event to take place, the Directors have taken the decision to control the numbers of spectators, restrict movement and monitor whatever Covid- 19 regulations and protocols are being applied regarding social distancing at the time of our event, by means of a Spectator Pass.
The price of a spectator pass is set at £25 to cover the cost of the official Armoy 2021 Race Programme and a colour coded wristband, (both are required for spectator access to the event) and the postage costs involved in sending you your package.
**Small Print: Due to the time restraints, the easing of restrictions or sending out packages etc, please be aware that when placing an order, these packages are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by AMRRC or Government Guidance, then a full refund will be issued.
Whilst at the event, please adhere to any track & trace and guidance or Information leaflets/notices issued by the Armoy club relating to the latest Covid 19 regulations.

Armoy Road Races have now announced that their 2020 Road Races have been cancelled. This was the last Northern Irish event left on the calendar and given that all Irish Nationals have already declared that their events have been cancelled – we are now left with the fact that we will not see road racing on the island of Ireland in 2020.
I know that Cookstown and the North West 200 have hinted at dates towards the very end of summer to hold their events I think we need to be realistic and accept that there will be no road racing in 2020.
The Isle of Man still have the Classic TT and Manx GP on the calendar but honestly I wouldn’t be making too many plans. This ongoing coronavirus pandemic will continue to disrupt for the foreseeable future and I think we need to accept that 2021 is going to be our next opportunity to go racing.
Armoy Road Races – Bayview Hotel Race of Legends 24th & 25th July 2020
In view of current extension to the ‘stay at home’ restrictions relating to the Coronavirus public health crisis and the advice from the sport’s governing body, it is with great regret that the Directors and Chairman of Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club Limited have agreed that the Armoy Road Races and Bayview Hotel Race of Legends, due to take place on 24th & 25th July, will unfortunately be cancelled for 2020.
Throughout the course of the last few weeks, we had continued to plan for our race in the event that restrictions could be lifted or relaxed. However, in the light of the recent review by local government and the ongoing economic impact on everyone, we believe that cancelling our event until 2021, is in the best interest of all concerned.
We would like to extend our thanks to all our sponsors, not least our title sponsor the Bayview Hotel, for their commitment to Armoy again in 2020 and for their understanding of our decision to cancel this year’s event. We send them all our very best wishes in these difficult and uncertain times.
We apologise for any disruption this cancellation may cause to those of you who have made travel plans to come to Armoy but we do hope to see you all again in the near future.

Friday 26th July 2019 is practice and qualifying day at the 2019 Armoy Road Races. However to conclude the night we are treated to 2 races, the Senior Support and Supersport Race 1.
After a day of practice were Michael Dunlop took the headlines – turning up on crutches (passed fit and ready to race with the aid of some mini steps) in order to defend his run of seven ‘Race of Legends’ titles. In the second practice he was right in there with Derek Shiels – who wants to defend his current run of consecutive 2019 race victories. Tomorrow’s feature race is already setting the scene to be epic.
The first race of the evening was the Senior Support – Ryan Fenton made his road racing debut and finished in a strong second place behind race favourite from the start Tommy Henry. Andy McAllister completed the top trio, with Dermot Cleary in fourth.
The supersports had their first race of Armoy and in what must be one of the closest results of all time. Derek McGee took the win from Paul Jordan by 0.002s. That is two one thousands of a second! Michael Sweeney completed the podium with Michael Dunlop taking forth on his MD Racing machine. Even the timekeeping almost soiled itself – with initially the consensus being that Jordan had taken it at the line. That was not the case…
So a great start to the 2019 Armoy Road Races – and an amazing set up for tomorrow – now we just have to keep our fingers crossed that the Met Office Yellow Warning for heavy rain misses us! Race 1 : Armoy Construction / PES Senior Support :
