The Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club have confirmed via a Press Release that the 2024 Armoy Road Raes : Race of Legends meeting will take place on the 26th and 27th July 2024.
The Club have also taken the opportunity to address ‘rumours’ on the current status and future of the event in a blog post entitles, ‘New Year, New Update on Rumours.’
The Armoy race dates for 2024 are FRIDAY 26th and SATURDAY 27th JULY.
As in all previous years, the application has been made for our dates and they are not confirmed from the MCUI until their Interconference and AGM. This has not been done yet for various reasons but weβd be 99% confident that the Armoy dates will be confirmed for 2024 as applied for.
Ian Hutchinson back with Milenco Padgett’s Honda Team for 2024 Calendar
Three-time North West 200 race winner, Ian Hutchinson will be re-united with the Milenco Padgettβs Honda squad for a full-scale onslaught on the Superbike, Superstock and Supersport races at the 2024 Briggs Equipment North West 200 in May.
The move marks another inspiring comeback for the 44 year old during a career that has seemed to be an almost relentless battle against injury and illness since he last raced full-time with the Yorkshire-based team during 2010.
Hutchinsonβs stunning ten race winning run with the Padgettβs team at that seasonβs NW200, Isle of Man TT, Ulster Grand Prix and Scarborough Gold Cup ended when he sustained a serious leg injury at Silverstone in September 2010.
After enduring more than 40 operations, the βBingley Bulletβ eventually fought his way back into contention to claim victory in the 2013 Macau Grand Prix plus, a third win at the NW200 in 2016 and eight more TT triumphs before he crashed and broke his leg again during the 2017 Senior TT.
Battling back to fitness again, Hutchy returned to road racing with Honda in 2018, riding a Padgetts prepared CBR600RR to 7th and 16th place finishes in the Supersport class at the NW200.
With only 16 weeks until there will be bikes on the grid at Orritor, on the 26th & 27th of April 2024, the Cookstown Club are in full organising mode even over the festive period!!
With the sport in a hard place at the moment, the commitment of spectators, fans and competitors attending is essential in 2024 should we all want our sport to come through this tough period and have future years ahead.
With this in mind, the Cookstown Club are opening our online booking system today for spectators to book their packages for the 2024 Cookstown 100 Road Race.
On behalf of the North Armagh Motorcycle & Car Club (Tarmac Section) Ltd it is with deep regret that I confirm that the 2024 Around A Pound Tandragee 100 has been cancelled.
We have been unable to gain commitment for necessary resurfacing to be carried out in time to meet extended deadlines: (a) to confirm our intent to commit with MCUI UC (and relevant other Clubs) to a sizeable non-refundable insurance premium quotation; and (b) to confirm with 2&4W Motorsport Ltd definite use of a Road Closing Order (which will provide enough time to allow another motorsport club to make application for use of same in 2024). We wish every success for all other motorsport clubs in 2024.
As a Club, after many months of lobbying and negotiations, we are very disappointed, however we are committed to do everything we can to ensure some level of resurfacing takes place at some stage in 2024 to enable us to bring this awe inspiring event back in 2025. We wish to take this opportunity to thank all our competitors, sponsors, landowners, volunteers and spectators for their continued support.

The 70th Macau Grand Prix takes place from 11th – 19th November 2023 and will bring together bikes and cars in a festival of motorsport like no other. The road racing element of the event is taken to the next level with an Armco enclosed circuit that is tight, fast and dangerous in equal and frightening measures.
This year will see numerous familiar names from the motorcycle road racing world take on the famous enclosed street circuit.

The 2023 Sunflower Trophy was held at Bishopscourt Race Circuit on 21st and 22nd October 2023 and marks the end of the Ulster Superbike Championship.
With horrendous weather stopping activities on Friday 20th October 2023 (main qualifying day) the organisers made the difficult (but absolutely correct decision) to amend the schedule, cancelling the Friday sessions and moving them to the Saturday. The Saturday’s schedule was then shifted to Sunday.
The result was two excellent (maybe a little chilly, but we can’t complain about that) days that enabled the full schedule to run and 2 brilliant days of track racing action to wind up the 2023 Season.

The Manx Motorcycle Club have today confirmed the dates for the 2024 Manx Grand Prix, announcing an expanded racing schedule with the return of one of the eventβs most popular classes.
Five days of qualifying will commence on Sunday 18th August 2024 ahead of a six-race schedule spread across an action-packed Summer Bank Holiday weekend.
SIX RACE SCHEDULE :
Racing will begin on Friday 23rd August with both the Lightweight Manx Grand Prix featuring the ever-popular 2-stroke machines, and the Classic Senior Manx Grand Prix β brought forward from its previous Saturday slot as part of the expanded schedule.
Davey, who previously rode for the team during the 2018 season, will ride the teamβs BMW M1000RR Superbike at the famous street race in the far east next month. We would like to thank Phillip Neill and Tas Racing for entrusting us with bringing Davey to compete at Macau, and also their support for the event. We very much look forward to having Davey back in the team, albeit for one race.

After a great season together in 2018, we remained friends and always said if an opportunity arises to work together again we wouldnβt say no, so when Davey called me a couple of weeks ago to ask about the possibility of running him at Macau it did not take long for me to make my decision. Davey has shown in the past two BSB rounds that he works well with the BMW, and given his great form around Macau in the past, that is something that excites me looking ahead to next month.β
