2026 NW200 Results

The 2026 North West 200 ran over the week of 4th – 9th May 2026, with the first qualifying session being held on Wednesday 6th May 2026 and the second on Thursday 7th May 2026.

Due to a revised schedule following the death of a rider on Thursday’s daytime qualifying session there was no racing on the Thursday evening, with that race session being replaced with further qualifying.

The main, six race, day was held on Saturday 9th May 2026.

The Thursday morning qualifying session of the 2026 NW200 was halted due to a red flag during the first session, for the Superbikes. Tragically a rider died in the incident and the day time qualifying session did not resume.

Cooper and McWilliams Master the “Triangle” in Rain-Hit NW200 Opener

The North Coast of Northern Ireland welcomed the road racing elite today for the opening practice sessions of the 2026 North West 200. While the atmosphere in the paddock was electric, the weather proved a temperamental host. Heavy rain spells and shifting winds across the 8.9-mile “Triangle” course forced riders to contend with a stop-start schedule and a rapidly evolving track surface.

Despite the tricky conditions, two names dominated the conversation: Richard Cooper and the ageless Jeremy McWilliams.


Superbike: Cooper’s BMW Masterclass

The premier class hit the tarmac under a grey, damp sky that tested both courage and tire choice. Richard Cooper proved he is the man to beat this week, navigating the BMW to a blistering 4m 51.332s lap. He finished a comfortable 2.6 seconds ahead of Honda’s Paul Jordan.

Club statement.

Fore Club committee who run Walderstown Road Races wish to advise that our races being held on 18th and 19th of July is GOING AHEAD.

Unfortunately, there are rumours doing the rounds in the last few weeks and especially this week at the Northwest that we have failed to secure the works needed on the roads at Walderstown.
