Jack Oliver was tragically killed at the 2022 Kells Road Races.

22 year old Jack came off his Kawasaki machine in the Supersport race at the Crossakiel circuit.

Jack was a rising star of the road racing scene and was exceptionally skilled and an absolute pleasure to watch.

Jack had claimed his first victory at the 2022 Tandragee Road Races and had recorded a fasted lap in the Junior Support Class at the Kells meeting.

2022 Post TT Races Cancelled

2022 Post TT Races Cancelled :

2022 Post TT Races Cancelled
2022 Post TT Races Cancelled

The Southern 100 Club have announced via a Facebook post that the 2022 Post TT Races have been cancelled.

This is really unfortunate news as the Post TT Races are a superb event and give many riders who may not have competed on the TT Mountain Course a chance to wind up their TT Festival with a multi start competitive day of road racing.

DAO Post TT Road Races 2022 :

It is with regret that Southern 100 Racing, organisers of the DAO Post TT Road Races have to announce that this year’s races due to be held on Saturday 11th June, have been cancelled.

With the Senior TT having been postponed from Friday 10th June to Saturday 11th June, commencing at 11.00am, many of the officials, marshals and other personnel involved with the DAO Post TT are also required for duty on the Mountain Course and may not be available later for the Billown Course.

Southern 100 Racing have looked at the possibility of running later in the day, unfortunately the road closing order makes it impractical and with no guarantee that we would have full medical or marshal cover, the only decision that could be taken is to cancel the event for 2022.

We are extremely disappointed that the DAO Post TT Road Races will not be run and apologise to all competitors, especially those who have made the journey to the Island for the races and to all the race fans who look forward to a day out at Billown to bring the TT Experience to a close.

Southern 100 Racing look forward to seeing you at Billown in July for the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races.

Roger & Bradley Stockton : Statement Issued from the Isle of Man TT Races – 10/06/2022

Rest in Peace Roger and Bradley Stockton.

Roger & Bradley Stockton
Roger & Bradley Stockton

It is with deep sense of sorrow that the Isle of Man TT Races can announce the loss of Roger and Bradley Stockton following an incident on the final lap of the second Sidecar Race of the 2022 Isle of Man TT Races.

Roger and Bradley were father and son, and driver and passenger respectively.

We extend our deepest sympathy to their families, loved ones and friends.

Aged 56, today marked Roger’s 20th race start in his 11th TT appearance. Bradley, aged 21, was competing in his second race at his first TT. Racing together, they recorded an impressive 8th-place finish in the first Sidecar Race of TT 2022, with a best lap at an average speed of 106.00mph.

Whilst it was Bradley’s first TT as a competitor, it was by no means his first experience of the TT, having grown up in the paddock and made his first visit as a one-year old. Aged 16, he decided that he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and asked if he could race alongside him as his passenger. Once he had returned to the Isle of Man to begin studying the course, he said ‘he couldn’t wait to race in the TT‘.

Roger’s first TT was in 2000. He competed regularly until 2008 and returned in 2010, 2017, and for this year’s event. Speaking earlier in the year, he said: ‘I’ve retired a few times before, but always come back for my love of the sport. Going around the course with my own flesh and blood will be incredible.’

The loss of two members of our paddock and two people from the same family is truly heart-breaking, but the bond between a father and son who achieved their dream to compete together at the TT provides us with a glimmer of light at such a dark time.

STATEMENT ISSUED AT 18:30 ON 10 JUNE 2022

STATEMENT ISSUED FROM THE ISLE OF MAN TT RACES

With a deep sense of sorrow, the Isle of Man TT Races can confirm that Roger Stockton, 56, and Bradley Stockton, 21, from Crewe, Cheshire were both killed in an incident on the second and final lap of the second Sidecar Race of the 2022 Isle of Man TT Races. The incident occurred at Ago’s Leap, just under one mile into the lap.

Roger and Bradley were father and son, and driver and passenger respectively.

Roger was an experienced TT competitor, with today’s race marking his 20th TT race start. He competed at the TT regularly from 2000 to 2008, before then returning in 2010, 2017 and at this year’s event. In his career, he claimed a total of twelve top-20 finishes and four top-10 finishes, as well as 10 Bronze Replicas.

Bradley was a newcomer to the TT and finished his first TT race on Monday, securing an impressive 8th-place finish alongside his father.

2022 was their fifth season racing together, and Roger and Bradley were regular podium finishers and frontrunners in the British F2 Sidecar Cup Championship, finishing second in the championship in 2021.

The Isle of Man TT Races pass on their deepest sympathy to Roger and Bradley’s families, loved ones, and friends.
