The Official TT safety partner RST have confirmed they are stepping up from the sidelines to the starting grid. The brand has launched TeamRST and they’ve secured the signature of the Ian Hutchinson to lead the way for their 2026 Isle of Man TT Campaign.

With less than 80 days until the flag drops on Glencrutchery Road, this isn’t just a PR exercise. TeamRST is coming to the Mountain Course with one goal – winning.

Hutchinson: The Legend Returns to the Front

For fans of real road racing, Hutchy needs no introduction. A 16-time TT winner, he remains the only man in history to ever claim five victories in a single week (2010). After a few seasons of battling health setbacks and machinery changes, Hutchinson sounds more determined than ever.

“This project is very personal to me,” Hutchinson said at the launch. “After everything I’ve experienced at the TT, I still have that drive to prove we can compete at the very front. We’re aiming for that top spot.”

Heartbreak at the High Banks: Todd’s Daytona Debut Cut Short

DAYTONA BEACH, FL — The 84th running of the Daytona 200 was supposed to be the glittering American debut for Saltburn’s finest, Davey Todd. Instead, the “World Center of Racing” proved why it is as cruel as it is iconic. Competing for the PHR Performance squad (supported by his 8-Ten Racing partner Peter Hickman), Todd’s weekend ended not in the winner’s circle, but in a hospital bed.

The drama began early in Thursday’s qualifying. Todd was “cleaned out” by another rider on his opening lap, a low-speed incident that appeared manageable. He managed to limp the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS back to the pits, where the PHR crew worked feverishly to straighten the machine.

The Impact

However, the gremlins of Daytona are persistent. Returning to the track for the final ten minutes of the session, Todd suffered a catastrophic second crash coming out of Turn 2. A mechanical failure—suspected to be a steering jam resulting from the initial impact—sent him directly into the wall at high speed.

“I tried to jump off it, but couldn’t really get off it properly in time,” Todd shared in a post-surgery update.

Conor Cummins has announced the launch of his own Conrod Motorsport team for the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races, marking a bold new chapter in his career as he prepares to celebrate 20 years since his TT debut.

Inspired by his successful Douglas-based coffee business Conrod’s, launched in 2015, Cummins’ new team signals both a personal milestone and a fresh competitive challenge. The initial programme will see Conrod Motorsport contest the two Superstock TT races in 2026 on a machine to be confirmed, while Cummins continues to review his options for the Superbike and Supersport classes.

Speaking of the new venture, Conor said: “I’m really looking forward to the new challenge of running my own team. It’s a big step and a bit of a leap into the unknown, but it’s something I’ve considered doing at various stages throughout my career. With the growth of the business, now feels like the right time, and I’m really excited to be bringing my two passions together.”

“The competition is tougher than ever, so I’m under no illusion as to how much work this is going to take. UPDATED SCHEDULE AND RACE CLASSES CONFIRMED FOR TT 2026

An updated schedule has been confirmed for the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races, designed to add greater resilience and flexibility to the programme, support the welfare of competitors, teams, marshals, medics and race officials, and enhance the experience for visitors.

These refinements are in line with the TT’s long-term strategy created to deliver a sustainable, world-class event that drives increasing benefit to the Island’s economy.

Following the introduction of the restructured format in 2023 – and after welcoming 51,650 fans to the Island for TT 2025, the highest in over 15 years – the 2026 updates reflect a strategic and considered approach shaped by operational learnings, stakeholder feedback, and future planning. This growth has also enabled the event to welcome more visiting marshals and volunteers into the TT community, further strengthening the successful delivery of the races.

The 2026 schedule brings with it a number of important enhancements. The number of scheduled rest days has been increased from two to three, with Qualifying Week now featuring a rest day on Thursday. This will allow competitors, marshals, medics, officials, and volunteers valuable downtime after three days of on-course action. The number of planned practice and qualifying sessions will also increase from six to seven, including an additional daytime session on Wednesday. This adaption continues the trend away from evening sessions while providing riders with more opportunities to prepare for the race programme.
