2025 Athea Road Races Cancelled

2025 Athea Road Races Cancelled :

The South West Racing Athea Club have announced via a press release that their 2025 event will not go ahead.

Statement From South West Road Racing Athea – 2nd July 2025 :

A number of events have taken place since May of this year involving the Road Racing Alliance of Ireland, Motorcycling Ireland, The Minister for Sport and Sport Dispute Solutions Ireland. These events were necessary in order to introduce the initial steps required to secure the future of all motorcycle sports in the Republic of Ireland.

While these events were completely outside of our control, South West Road Racing Athea welcomes the positive measures which have emanated from them and accepts that it will take time for MCI to finalise a programme for the implementation of these measures.

It is therefore with deep regret that South West Road Racing Athea have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our major event which was planned for

September 2025.

We hope that all processes will be completed in the near future and that we can announce the rescheduling of our event in due course.

South West Road Racing Athea thanks all of its members, supporters and the local community for their patience.
