Apple have rather subtly released a new iPad this week, which replaces the iPad Air 2 and is simply called the ‘iPad.’
The good news is that it starts at a lower price point – £339 for a 32GB model, reduced from £379 for the same capacity iPad Air 2.
The iPad range now consists of the iPad Mini 4, the iPad, and the iPad Pro (9.7 inch and 12.9 inch)
So what are the differences : (Between iPad Air 2 and the iPad)
- The new iPad is slightly thicker (1.4mm)
- The new iPad is slightly heavier (32g)
- The new iPad has an Apple A9 processor – the iPad Air 2 has an A8X
- The new iPad does not have a laminated screen.
Everything else is pretty much the same but the image below will give you a full comparison of the iPad v iPad Air 2 v iPad Air
The iPad is available to order from 24th March 2017.
As a bonus they also released a (Product) Red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus which is also available from 24th March 2017 and in my humble opinion looks outstanding!
Thanks for stopping by.
