Mous Limitless Accessories :
Disclosure : I purchased these Mous Limitless iPhone X Accessories direct from Mous.co the review is my own as are my thoughts on the product.
I have previously posted a review on the Mous Limitless Case 2.0 for iPhone X – you can find that review right here : Mous Limitless iPhone X Case (Carbon Fibre) Unboxing & Review
I am still currently using that very case and have been since writing the review. I am still hugely impressed by it along with its build quality and durability. No doubt it was expensive at the time but it still looks as new and despite being used daily there isn’t a mark on it.

So when I got an email detailing the new Mous accessories for the Limitless 2.0 Cases it was an easy choice. Three items were available – a leather case, a leather card holder and a wall (flat surface) mount. All work with magnets which the Limitless 2.0 range already has in preparation for this line of add-ons.
Having never thought that ‘I wish I had a wall mount’, or even able to think when I might of been able to use one I opted for the leather case and leather card holder. From memory they came in at about £25 which I consider to be reasonable.
The items arrived quickly and had the same high quality packaging that had came with the first case I purchased.

The horrid looking crease on the Leather Card Wallet’s Packaging was done by me opening it.
The first item I went to was the ‘Leather Flip Wallet’ – instantly the quality was obvious. This is another well made product from Mous. The leather is good, the stitching is neat and tidy, the detailing is accurate. There is even the space for a few cards inside the wallet.
The case also features an auto align system. So if you think how the Apple Smart Cover for the iPad works – it is similar. With the leather flip wallet you set the phone in and the magnets attract each other meaning that the case and phone fit together with no fiddling around. That means that the camera cut outs and the phone are all aligned and ready to go. It works well, it isn’t as ‘snappy’ as the Apple system and occasionally you may need to make a slight adjustment but all in all it works well.

As far as the strength of the magnets holding the phone into the case go – it will happily support the weight of the phone and the Limitless 2.0 case – but shake it vigorously and it will fall free, which to be fair can only be expected.

The next item is the Leather Card Wallet. This is the one I was most looking forward to receiving. It seemed to be a great solution for travelling light or popping your ID / Driving Licence (or similar) into and being able to have it as a standalone card wallet or attached to your phone as you so required. Unfortunately that’s where that theory ends.

On first impressions the standalone wallet is exactly what you get and I think it is important to point out that the quality remains. This is made from what feels like good high quality leather, it smells like it too.
Unfortunately on the rear of the wallet there is a sticky strip.

This ruins any chance that there was for this to be a standalone item. And it is very sticky! It was almost stuck to the packaging and actually started to peel itself off the case as I tried to remove it.
Since removing it and using it for a while that extreme stickiness has calmed down somewhat and I was able to realign the strip after removing it from the packaging with no adverse effects.
I also tweeted Mous about this as I was initially rather put off by this strip and to their credit they replied with their reasoning :
@MousCase However the card wallet – Is this sticky strip meant to be here? It’s pretty horrible and far too sticky. It was stuck to the packaging and half peeled itself off when I opened it. It also has left an ugly mark on my lovely carbon fibre case. pic.twitter.com/uJq4pqDFfN

@mouscase It’s a shame as it is really nicely designed and would have been useful to be a standalone wallet as well. But that strip means you can’t just slip it into your pocket. What can you do when it gets covered in grime and dirt?

Hey sorry for the late reply. I've been trying to find some info for you. At first, it will be very sticky but after a few uses, it will be less sticky – it is included in the card wallet to provide extra grip to the case for when you slide it in and out of your pocket.

As for cleaning your case, wipe it with a damp 100% cotton cloth, and then dry it off with another cloth. Please let me know if that helps 🙂

It did help – the stickiness had settled and as you can see from the case it is clean and unmarked.
I can see their reasoning behind the sticky strip too, for me though it is not what I was expecting and means that to use that nice leather card wallet on its own is not an option. When on the phone though it works really well. I have found you can use it easily on the Limitless 2.0 case or combined with the Flip Leather Wallet. It also seems to be that little bit more ‘snappy’ when auto aligning and it aligns accurately every time no matter how you use it.

In conclusion Mous have done it again with some quality accessories to add to their already hugely successful Limitless 2.0 cases. The leather wallet is well made, full of quality and works exactly as it should with the built in magnet system. The card wallet is another well designed item, of good quality, but just be aware if you are looking for a card wallet that can be a standalone unit as well, this may not be the item you are looking for. If you are happy that the card wallet needs to be attached to your phone or this is exactly what you are looking for you will be hard pressed to find a better alternative.
