Important Information for anyone using ‘Evolution Camping’ in 2019 :
Some very unfortunate news coming out of the Isle of Man tonight in relation to Evolution Camping, which no doubt will have an impact and a resultant loss for many visitors to the island for this year’s TT Festival…
Hopefully this will come to a satisfactory conclusion for all those affected. If you are affected make sure to contact the Isle of Man Police and please share this information so that a full and accurate case can be presented against any offender(s).
The NI Motorcycle Festival returns this weekend (8th – 10th February 2019) to the Eikon Centre, Lisburn. In it’s fourth year at the Eikon it is touting itself as Northern Irelands’ Biggest Motorcycle Show and it promises a weekend full of action and bikes.
So what has changed from last year and does it deliver on these promises?
Truth be told, very little has changed. It is still like a big showroom, with a load of stalls in the back.
As you can see in my previous 2018 review I tried my best to find the positives in the show and to be honest I really hate being negative about such things – especially things that involve bikes, a show – and Northern Ireland trying to bring itself on par with events and exhibitions, but sometimes – when there is negativity it just shines through in the truth.
I am not going to paint this one through rose tinted glasses – I hoped things would have improved but alas here it is – the NI Motorcycle Festival 2019 Review.
The 2019 International Road Racing Season is just round the corner and the last few weeks have been filled with #paddockrumour and whispers.
TBNI.Blog have put together the facts to bring you the 2019 Road Racing Rider Line-Up (so far). Will he? Won’t he? Who is with who? Who has moved? Who hasn’t? Who is back?
Important Update : 31st May 2019 : Inclement weather continues to torture this year’s practice and qualifying sessions. Seven days in and we have only had bikes on the course on Sunday and Tuesday. Double practice sessions were scheduled for Thursday, the weather resulted in both being cancelled. Now Friday’s double session is postponed and we will not see bikes on the track until at least 3pm (15:00 local time).
The resulting knockoffs will now certainly affect race week. The racing on Saturday 1st June 2019 has been replaced with a qualifying / practice schedule and Sunday may be the first race day. It could be a very busy week ahead.
Make sure to follow the below Social Media Accounts and Web sites to stay up to date with changes as they are so fluid.
Important Update : 27th May 2019 : Inclement weather is playing havoc with the planned sessions. Saturday has been rescheduled to Sunday, now Monday’s session will be held on Tuesday.

2019 will see the return to the Mountain Course of the 2018 record breakers: Dean Harrison and Peter Hickman. In perfect conditions they pushed the lap record to over 134mph and finally to 135.452mph – making the Isle of Man TT the fastest road race on the planet. Can they go faster in 2019? Can John McGuinness, Michael Dunlop or Ian Hutchinson handle their pace? With the countdown underway, the answers draw closer!

As a huge fan of Transformers when the trailer dropped for an origin movie for Bumblebee it would be fair to say I was excited.
The movie was released and off I zipped to the cinema.
Movie Synopsis :
“On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.”
I don’t like to read too much about movies before I see them, but one preview I did read stated this :
The 2019 Premier League of Darts lineup has been announced.
As is now the tradition, at the end of the World Championship of Darts, Barry Hearn gets a little extra TV face time to announce the lineup for the upcoming Premier League of Darts. Here it is :
2019 Premier League of Darts Lineup
So two new faces, Michael Smith, the World Championship finalist gets a well deserved spot after an epic showing in the ‘Worlds’ and James Wade returns to the Premier League, hopefully in a better place than he was towards the end of his world championship.
Thankfully we will get to see Barney in the Premier League for one final season before his planned retirement, as he picks up a Sky TV wildcard for the Tournament.
Hopefully Price will modify his behaviour this year, because to be honest, I quite like the guy. Check him out on Twitter – he seems a decent lad off the stage, but on the stage, in front of the cameras he is just too hard to stomach, getting on like a truly magical sac. Thank goodness for Sky Plus and the Fast Forward button!
All in all though the lineup looks good, and will hopefully lead to some great Thursday night viewing.
Just a very quick note to all TBNI.Blog visitors to wish you a very happy, safe and prosperous new year, may 2019 shine gracefully upon you!
And whilst we take the time to wish each other a Happy New Year please keep a little place in your heart to remember those who never made to 2019. Rest in peace.
