2023 NI Sidecar Racing Back on Schedule :
In breaking news just over a week ago all Northern Irish Sidecar Racing was confirmed as cancelled. The details of that cancellation can be found in this detailed TBNI.Blog Post.
In a Press Release from the MCUI(UC) earlier today the good news has come that a solution has been found in relation to obtaining insurance for the NI Sidecar events, which can, thankfully, now go ahead.

Following intense negotiations over the last week in regards to sidecars not being covered within the UC Insurance policy, we can confirm negotiations with insurers have now been completed.
Within these negotiations it has been agreed that a strict and robust risk management plan must be implemented in regards to side car competitors and machines going forward, with highly detailed documentation being formed and presented throughout this year.
With agreement reached on this, we are pleased to say side cars will now be able to compete at MCUI UC events in 2023.
We now all need to look forward and address insurance company concerns together as a centre throughout 2023, should we want racing to continue in 2024.

Irish sidecar club welcomes todays news (24/3/23) that sidecar racing will be allowed to take part in MCUI Ulster Centre events in 2023.
A lot of work went on behind the scenes to make this happen and we would like to thank all the parties involved.
The 2023 Ulster sidecar championship will go ahead,however we are not in a position to confirm how many rounds will take place or on what dates. We will announce this as soon as possible.
The Irish sidecar club looks foward to working with all clubs and the MCUI UC in the future to promote sidecar racing and all racing in general. We wish all competitors at this weekend’s race meeting at Bishopscourt the best of luck .
