2024 Ulster Grand Prix Cancelled :
The Ulster Grand Prix have confirmed via a Facebook Post that the 2024 event has been cancelled.
“It is with regret that the Dundrod and District Motorcycle Club must announce the Ulster Grand Prix will not take place during 2024.
Despite recent positive negotiations with stakeholders of the event, the club has been left with no choice but to take this course of action given motorcycle sport’s ongoing insurance issues and a lack of sufficient time to find a solution to these challenges.
The DDMC remains committed to reviving the Ulster Grand Prix and will continue to work towards achieving that goal.”

The MCUI(UC) have however countered the above from the UGP with a statement of their own.
“Reference the Dundrod Press release [on the] 8th January which stated that ‘ongoing insurance issues’ was one of the reasons for not running, again, for clarification, the MCUI (UC) does not have any insurance issues and are committed to our agreed renewal for 2024 events. We therefore assume the D&D MCC are referring to the increased cost to themselves.”
The full statement is reads as follows :
As each and every year ticks by the future of the UGP becomes more and more uncertain. Hopefully this iconic race can make a comeback to the Northern Irish roads in the very near future.
