Gearing Up for the 2025 Isle of Man TT Races!
The air is already buzzing, a distant thrum of anticipation growing louder with each passing day. It’s almost time for the most famous road races on Earth, the ultimate test of courage and speed: the Isle of Man TT Races! From May 26th to June 7th, 2025, the legendary Mountain Course will once again become hallowed ground, welcoming riders and enthusiasts from across the globe for an unforgettable fortnight of pure, unadulterated road racing.
The Schedule: From Qualifying to Senior Glory :
As always, the action kicks off with an intense week of qualifying, beginning on Monday, May 26th. Riders will be pushing their machines and themselves to the absolute limit, finding that elusive rhythm on the 37.73-mile circuit. Evening qualifying sessions from Tuesday, May 27th to Thursday, May 29th promise incredible spectacles under the fading Manx light, while Friday, May 30th offers a final chance to lay down a blistering lap.
Then, the moment we’ve all been waiting for: Race Week!
- Saturday, May 31st sees the Monster Energy Supersport TT Race 1 and the 3wheeling.media Sidecar TT Race 1 ignite the track.
- Sunday, June 1st brings the thunder with the highly anticipated RST Superbike TT Race.
- After a well-deserved rest day on Monday, June 2nd, Tuesday, June 3rd delivers a double-header with the RL360 Superstock TT Race 1 and the Supertwin TT Race 1.
- Wednesday, June 4th serves up more two-wheeled brilliance with the Monster Energy Supersport TT Race 2 and the 3wheeling.media Sidecar TT Race 2.
- Another rest day on Thursday, June 5th before the Isle of Man Bank Holiday, Friday, June 6th, features the PE Superstock TT Race 2 and the Entire Cover Insurance Supertwin TT Race 2.
- And finally, the grand finale on Saturday, June 7th: the iconic Milwaukee Senior TT Race, where legends are made and history is written.

Rider and Team Shake-Ups: A New Dynamic?
The rumour mill has been churning overtime, and some significant rider and team news has emerged, promising to shake up the pecking order.
The big news on everyone’s lips is the potential change of machinery for the undisputed King of the Mountain, 29-time TT winner Michael Dunlop. While his MD Racing Paton remains the weapon of choice for the Supertwin class, whispers of a switch to BMW for his 1000cc campaign have sent ripples of excitement through the paddock. Could this be the move that propels him to even greater heights?
Meanwhile, James Hillier has secured a last-minute deal to return to Bournemouth Kawasaki for the Supersport class, a team with whom he’s had a long and successful history, including a Lightweight TT win. After an uncertain start to the season, it’s great to see a rider of his calibre back on a competitive machine. Dominic Herbertson, initially slated to be Hillier’s teammate, has now formed his own team, adding another interesting dynamic to the grid.
In the Supertwin class, the top 20 seeded riders have been confirmed. Paul Jordan leads the charge for Jackson Racing Aprilia from pole, while podium hopeful Pierre-Yves Bian’s ride is still TBC. Michael Rutter, a seven-time TT winner, will focus solely on the Supertwin class aboard his Bathams Racing Yamaha R7. And in a fascinating development, two-time TT winner Davey Todd will be entering the Supertwin class with Padgetts Racing, adding a significant threat to an already stacked field.
On the newcomer front, New Zealand Superbike champion Mitch Rees makes his highly anticipated debut with the Milenco by Padgett’s Motorcycles team. Having triumphed over the likes of Peter Hickman and Davey Todd at the Wanganui meeting, Rees is no stranger to road racing and will be one to watch. British Championship veteran Barry Burrell also joins the roster, bringing over a decade of experience to the Mountain Course.
In the sidecar class, the legendary pairing of Ryan and Callum Crowe lead the charge, followed by Pete Founds and Jevan Walmsley, and Ben Birchall and Patrick Rosney. The competition among the three-wheelers is always fierce, and 2025 promises to be no exception.
Beyond the Bikes: The Isle of Man TT Festival
The TT is more than just racing; it’s a festival, a pilgrimage for motorcycle fanatics, and a true celebration of Manx culture. When the roads are open, the island comes alive with events and activities for all.

- Coach Laps of the Course: For those who want to experience the Mountain Course without the hair-raising speed, daily coach laps offer a unique perspective.
- Ramsey Motorcycle Show: Head north for the Ramsey Motorcycle Show, a fantastic display of classic and modern machinery.
- Music and Entertainment: Pubs and venues across the island will be buzzing with live music, parties, and a generally electric atmosphere throughout the fortnight.
