Faugheen50 Sprint 2026 Dates Announced :
The FaugheenRR Club have confirmed today that there will not be a 2026 Faugheen 50, instead there will be a two day sprint event in July 2026, with plans moving forward for the Faugheen 50 to return to the roads in 2027…
Faugheen50 Club Statement..
After a very positive AGM the Club has voted to run a two day Motorcycle Road Racing Sprint in Faugheen on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of July 2026.
After discussing numerous options available, the club have voted that for us as a Club, with all due considerations, we will run a Motorcycle Sprint over the two days.
We will be have more details shortly, with news and updates.
Thank you all,

Firstly a huge thanks to everyone who attended our AGM last night, members from as far away as Clare, Carlow and Wexford bravely tackled the weather and we’re very appreciated for that effort, so thank you everyone.
Our current dates, 18th and 19th of July this year coincide with the All-Ireland hurling final, World Cup final and the Stone throwers Rally where many of our supporters will be assisting this event.
The club decided it was probably better to swap our traditional date with Fore Motorcycle Racing Club for Walderstown’s Race of the South, who as clubs have a very close bond for years.
At last night’s meeting the club looked at a number of options for 2026, the running of a full road race weekend, doing nothing this year at all or try something that is more feasible for the club.
The members voted to run a two day Motorcycle Sprint for riders, both road racers and short circuit riders like Loughshinny ran a few years ago.
We want to run something rather than nothing, and to have bikes back on the roads, while supporting the MCl and our fellow Road Race CommitteeClubs. We are committed to running the Faugheen50 in 2027 and beyond with the Faugheen50 road races in 2028 which will be our 25th Anniversary.
It’s important that we all pull together to make the Faugheen50 Sprint 26 a huge success.
On a separate note, the new committee would like to thank our outgoing President Alan O’Dwyer, Lorna and Chloe, for all their hard work and commitment to the club over the years, and a hearty welcome to our new committee members, Michelle Kirwan, Gearoid Hoare and Adam Hunt, while remembering our club members who have sadly passed away.
So everyone, let’s do this and get back to bikes on the roads at Faugheen.
Yours in Sport
