Subaru have revealed their Performance-B STI Concept this week and as a previous Impreza STI owner all I can say is I love it!
Subaru have shown their rally heritage still maters and hopefully this concept becomes a reality in the not too distant future, although I doubt I will able to stretch the wallet anywhere near far enough. I predict Type-R money maybe in and around the £50,000 mark.
From what we can see from the images lifted from various sources across the net there is a modern WRX style interior, but with SI-Drive, and a DCCD selector, along with STI branding and a rally necessity – a flat bottom steering wheel.
A Performace-E STI was also showcased, but it is the Performance-B that absolutely caught my eye and whilst the vocal few having been screaming hate about it, the overwhelming majority consensus seems to be, “Subaru – release this now!!

UPDATED SCHEDULE AND RACE CLASSES CONFIRMED FOR TT 2026
An updated schedule has been confirmed for the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races, designed to add greater resilience and flexibility to the programme, support the welfare of competitors, teams, marshals, medics and race officials, and enhance the experience for visitors.
These refinements are in line with the TT’s long-term strategy created to deliver a sustainable, world-class event that drives increasing benefit to the Island’s economy.
Following the introduction of the restructured format in 2023 – and after welcoming 51,650 fans to the Island for TT 2025, the highest in over 15 years – the 2026 updates reflect a strategic and considered approach shaped by operational learnings, stakeholder feedback, and future planning. This growth has also enabled the event to welcome more visiting marshals and volunteers into the TT community, further strengthening the successful delivery of the races.
The 2026 schedule brings with it a number of important enhancements. The number of scheduled rest days has been increased from two to three, with Qualifying Week now featuring a rest day on Thursday. This will allow competitors, marshals, medics, officials, and volunteers valuable downtime after three days of on-course action. The number of planned practice and qualifying sessions will also increase from six to seven, including an additional daytime session on Wednesday. This adaption continues the trend away from evening sessions while providing riders with more opportunities to prepare for the race programme.
The “Awe-Dropping” event on September 9th, 2025, (18:00 GMT) is shaping up to be one of Apple’s most anticipated keynotes in recent memory. Whether you’re an iPhone loyalist, an audio enthusiast, or simply love cutting-edge technology, there’s undoubtedly something to look forward to.
More importantly, the invitation states ‘Join us in person’ which hopefully means a movement away from the pre recorded keynotes we have become accustomed to since Covid-19.
The 2026 Classic TT will return in 2026 from the 19th – 28th August 2026. However it will be an extra special event as it celebrates 30 years of John McGuinness MBE…
CLASSIC TT 2026 TO CELEBRATE 30 YEAR TT CAREER OF JOHN MCGUINNESS MBE
The Classic TT returns next year, running from Wednesday 19th to Friday 28th August. After this year’s heartfelt tribute to Joey Dunlop’s famous 2000 treble, the spotlight will shift to another giant of the sport — John McGuinness MBE — as the ‘Morecambe Missile’ marks 30 years of racing on his beloved TT Mountain Course.
In 2026, fans will get the chance to relive history with a special parade lap, as John rides the very same bike, in the very same leathers, that carried him to the first-ever 130mph lap in 2007. An exclusive exhibition will also showcase the machines, memories, and milestones that have defined three decades of his incredible career.
The TBNI Road Racing Calendar will be updated as soon as new information comes to light so make sure you are subscribed to that : https://tbni.blog/road-racing-calendar/
The 2025 Classic TT was held from the 20th – 29th August 2025, with qualifying sessions being held alongside the Manx Grand Prix from 20th – 25th August 2025. A revised race schedule, decided by inclement weather meant race days were held on 27th (evening contingency) and 29th August 2025.
The Manx Motor Cycle Club is pleased to confirm the dates for the 2025 Manx Grand Prix, which will take place from Sunday 17th August to Monday 25th August 2025 on the iconic Isle of Man TT Mountain Course
The 2025 edition promises to deliver an increased number of races as part of the fresh, action-packed modern race programme that will see the event return to its clubman sporting roots, focusing on developing the next generation of TT riders and upholding the traditions of the famous event going into its 102nd year..
The six days of practicing will commence on Sunday 17th August 2025 ahead of the four-race schedule taking place across the action-packed Summer Bank Holiday weekend, with the 2025 Manx drawing to a close on Monday 25th August with the headline Senior MGP Race.
With the Supersport and Supertwin machines now at the heart of the programme, spectators can expect intense competition, showcasing the skill and dedication of motorcycle road racing’s rising stars. The new schedule will maintain the spirit of the Manx Grand Prix while also evolving to provide a fresh experience for racers and fans alike.
A key change for the upcoming event is the removal of classic racing from the Manx Grand Prix schedule. This decision allows the reintroduction of the Classic TT, which will run in tandem as a standalone event in the Isle of Man’s racing calendar. This move is aimed at sustaining a second Mountain Course road race event, allowing the Manx Motor Cycle Club to concentrate on modern racing categories and its long-standing tradition of nurturing rising stars of the sport.
John McBride, Chairman of the Manx Motor Cycle Club said: “We are incredibly excited for the 2025 Manx Grand Prix. The revised race programme, and modern racing focus will offer competitors and fans alike a highly competitive and thrilling spectacle. We are pleased to be able to give our riders better value for money with two races per class, as well as increased practice time, and feel that this re-focused approach, will ensure that the event can continue to play an important role in road racing for many years to come.”
The CURRENT schedule for the MGP 2025 and 2025 Classic TT is listed as below. This is subject to change as the event progresses, responding to weather delays, cancellations and the use of potential contingency days.
