With this case I expand my Mous.co collection. This time with the Mous Limitless 2.0 Leather iPhone X Case.
If you are a follower of this blog you will know that this is not my first mous.co case. You will also know that I am a fan of their gear. If you don’t you can read my review of the carbon fibre case and a few of the accessories here :

Mous iPhone X Accessories Unboxing and Review
Disclosure : I purchased this Mous Limitless iPhone X Leather Case direct from Mous.co the review is my own as are my thoughts on the product.

Rather than just regurgitate what I have already written about the Mous.co Carbon Fibre case please take a few moments and have a quick read of it.
The first comment I made in that review was about a missed shipping date and how this is only to be expected with cloud funding – glitches happen etc etc. That point is no longer relevant. We are now no longer in the cloud funding world, we are now buying off a well established business. Shipping time was a couple of days and as you would now expect I had the case within the week.
Things continue in this positive direction…
The packaging is still the same. High quality, which is always a nice touch, but it probably ends up in the bin, right? That doesn’t matter Apple people appreciate high quality packaging – in fact we expect it.

As you can see from the above image you get a free screen protector, it is one of the things I can’t comment on. I just haven’t used one of them.
The cool little info card is still present… confirming the lifetime warranty.

The Leather :
Then there is the case. The base of it is the same as the carbon fibre case. The only different is the finishing material – namely leather. And again it is instantly clear the leather is quality. If you have bought a leather case I’m sure you love the smell of leather… it’s here. It smells amazing, and I have had this on my phone now for a couple of months. The leather scent is still there. In my pocket, at my job, beside my bed every day and every night – for months – and it still smells like leather.

Leather Tips :
I have already mentioned it, but I have had this case on my phone for a couple of months now. My only advice I have in relation to it would be the same for any other premium leather case. Be careful with it. Be careful with what it shares your pocket with. Coins and keys etc have the potential to ‘catch’ the leather and mark it (or worse). Like any leather product it will get signs of wear – which is part of the charm of the product, but just make sure to take a little care so as not to gouge or damage the leather with sharp keys or rough coins. Also a bit of leather cleaner and balm every now and then will add to the life of the case. I have a few marks on mine, nothing serious, I just wish I had have thought first – I blame the carbon fibre case I was using before it – it took anything and everything, including a few falls and it still looks unused.
(The image below shows the carbon fibre case that has been on my phone since December 2017).

The Case Base :
In relation to the base of the case everything is – of course- as it was. The cut outs are accurate and well finished, the buttons all work well and are responsive when pressed. The camera is protected as it sits recessed slightly in the case and the case itself is screen shield friendly. (The Belkin tempered case shield I have on mine is completely unaffected by the case.) The case is also desk friendly – a slight lip means you can put the phone down on a desk / bedside table screen down and not have to worry about the screen touching the hard surface and getting scratched. It’s all good.

Final thoughts :
My last review finished with the following paragraph and it still stands true. So that is how I shall finish this review…
So there you have it, it is a premium case with a premium price tag. However on the back of that what you are getting is a well designed, well presented and manufactured case that competes with the other premium brands, and maybe even teaches one or two of them a thing or two about the form and function that we consumers want and expect.
