ARMOY ROAD RACES 2021
ARMOY ROAD RACES 2021

The Armoy Road Races have released info and a real teaser on what they are describing as ‘bumper entries’ for the upcoming 2021 Event.

ARMOY ROAD RACES 2021 SEES BUMPER ENTRIES

Armoy Road Races have a bumper entry this year according to Bill Kennedy MBE, Clerk of the Course.

To date, entries have been received from all over Ireland and the United Kingdom with nearly 30 of them newcomers. It would seem there is a keen interest in racing at Armoy this year and who will turn up at to race in the famous Bayview Hotel Race of Legends.

Wilson Craigโ€™s Team Principal Darren Gilpin has confirmed not just Bolton man Davey Todd, who had a great win at the Spring Cup weekend at Oliverโ€™s Mount, but Chris Burns from Newcastle. He said; โ€œDavey is well known on the roads but Chris has extensive experience on all levels of racing including Moto GP, British Superbike as well as German and Dutch Superbike Championships. Pure road racing is something that Chris has wanted to do for some time now. His father was a former TT competitor and thatโ€™s part of his motivation.

โ€œSteven Smith from Antrim will also be part of the team, and he is really looking forward to Armoy and what its 3.03 mile course has to offer.โ€

Oliver’s Mount Spring Cup 2021 : Results

Bob Smith Spring Cup 2021 : Results

2021 has finally saw bikes on a road racing circuit and the first event of the year was held on 22nd & 23rd May 2021 at Scarborough’s Oliver’s Mount.

Oliverโ€™s Mount road race circuit is Englandโ€™s only natural โ€˜roadโ€™ race track. The challenging undulating track is situated just five minutes from Scarboroughโ€™s beach front, Englandโ€™s oldest seaside resort. Many fans have likened the track to a โ€˜miniature TT by the seasideโ€™. Mass race starts around the breath-taking track provides close racing which delivers excitement no other track in England can match โ€“ which is why races fans love the stunning venue. Itโ€™s an overload for the senses, you can smell the fumes and rubber, you can feel the heat from the bikes โ€“ youโ€™re so close to the action it feels like you could almost reach out and touch it.

Guy Martin Heading to Armoy 2021

2021 Armoy Road Races : Guy Martin Expected for the Classic Racing

When speaking to Guy Martin, Stephen Watson, road racing’s favourite commentator broke the news that Guy Martin would (should) be racing at the 2021 Armoy Road Races.

Bill Kennedy MBE Clerk of the Course at the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club said he was thrilled to hear the news. He said, โ€œGuy Martin has always been a great supporter of the Armoy Road Races and raced at Armoy up until 2015, thereafter he occasionally competed in classic and classic superbike races.

โ€œWe know that Guy would love to be back at Armoy and riding in the Classics race, but we also understand that his diary this year is pretty packed, including trying to achieve 300mph on a motorbike amidst a few projects the timing of which we believe have not been confirmed yet.

โ€œLike all things Guy, until heโ€™s on the boat and heading to Armoy, or even driving into the paddock, just before the races, weโ€™ll not know for sure. However, his intention to race at the 2021 Armoy Road Races will be a great boost for the spectators and the Club.โ€

Guy who won the Torquetronix Superbike Race in 2015 for Tyco-BMW Motorrad Racing has previously said โ€œItโ€™s a right well organised meetingโ€ and he โ€œalways tries to fit the Armoy inโ€ but if he does race this year, heโ€™ll be racing in the Senior Classics as opposed to racing in the Superbike or Open Races.

Mous Infinity Case (iPhone 12 Pro Max)

Mous Infinity Case for iPhone 12 Pro Max

Having been a user of Mous cases since 2017 I was excited to see their range of MagSafe Compatible cases and accessories come out.

Disclosure :ย I purchased this Mous Infinity iPhone 12 Pro Max Case direct fromย Mous.coย the review is my own as are my thoughts on the product.

Mous Infinity Case - iPhone 12 Pro Max
Mous Infinity Case – iPhone 12 Pro Max

For the first time in 4 years I had moved away from a trusted Mous case to a Apple Leather Case so that I would try out and use a Apple Card Wallet – which is just an amazing piece of kit and if you like minimalist wallets, this, you will be sure to love.

The Apple Leather Case is without doubt a nice leather case, well manufactured and the leather looks and feels great.  For me though it just didnโ€™t provide enough protection so I did not hesitate to get back onto the Mous Store when I heard the Limiteless 4.0 range had been release.

Unfortunately the Limitless 4.0 range was all showing as sold out for the iPhone 12 Pro Max – and a number of weeks later (04/04/2021 at the time of writing) still is sold out.

The only MagSafe compatible product for the iPhone 12 Pro Max was the Mous Infinity, which comes in at a whopping ยฃ69.99.

To me, this looked like the natural successor to the Mous Clarity case which I used almost exclusively from the time I purchased it on my iPhone 11 Pro.

That was a product – like all Mouse products to this point – I have recommended without hesitation.

Is that a recommendation continuing?
