One of the most read posts annually since 2017 on this site is the Winners’ Payout Details (with over 78,000 unique hits at the time of writing) and since 2017 I have updated annually it with the latest information from the current Regulations Booklet. Superbike TT Race :
The specification for entries into the Superbike TT race are :
- Over 750 cc up to 1000 cc 4 cylinders 4-stroke
- Over 750 cc up to 1000 cc 3 cylinders 4-stroke
- Over 850 cc up to 1200 cc 2 cylinders 4-stroke
- The minimum weight is 165 kg
Superbike TT category 1st position holder gets a total of £18,000. From 1st to 6th position racers get paid every lap but on the 6th lap, 1 to 20th position racers get paid. the total amount of Superbike TT Race is £57,400.
Sidecar TT Race 1 :
Sidecar TT race 1 is one of the 2 category races. There are 3 laps in this race. The 1st position holder gets an amount of £9,000. A total amount of £30,050 given through Sidecar TT Race 1.
The specification of Sidecar TT Race is: 501 – 600 cc, 4 stroke, 4 cylinder, Production-based motorcycle engine sidecars can participate.
Superstock TT Race :
The specifications for entries for the Superstock TT Race are :
- Over 750 cc up to 1000 cc 4 cylinders 4-stroke
- Over 750 cc up to 1000 cc 3 cylinders 4-stroke
- Over 850 cc up to 1200 cc 2 cylinders 4-stroke
- Minimum (Dry) Weight 170 kg
The 1st position holder of the Superstock TT race gets £8,000. For each lap, the riders paid consistently. A total amount of £22,700 prize fund given throughout the Superstock TT Race.
Supersport TT Race 1 :
The specifications for entries into the Supersport TT race are:
- Over 400 cc up to 600 cc 4 cylinders 4-stroke
- Over 600 cc up to 675 cc 3 cylinders 4-stroke
- Over 600 cc up to 750 cc 2 cylinders 4-stroke
- Minimum Weight 161 kg
The first finisher gets paid a total of 9,000 pounds for all four laps. A total amount of £29,050 is given through the Supersport TT Race 1. The race contains 4 laps with each lap prize money.
Supersport TT Race 2 :
All the facts, rules and prize money distribution are the same as Supersport TT Race 1.
Supertwin Race :
The specifications for entries into the Supertwin TT race are:
- Machines must comply with general technical rules as per ACU Standing Regulations and 2019 Isle of Man TT race regulations.
- Any four-stroke twin-cylinder motorcycle originally sold for road use with a water-cooled engine of up to 650 cc engine capacity.
- Eligible machines must be from models homologated for UK road use 2009 or later.
- Minimum weight 161 kilograms.
The Supertwin TT Race has 4 laps, the 1st position holder gets a total of £5,000 and the total prize mone of this race is £17,400.
Sidecar TT Race 2 :
All the facts, rules and prize money distribution are the same as Sidecar TT Race 1.
Senior TT Race :
The specifications for entries into the Sidecar TT race are:
- Machines must comply with general technical rules as per ACU Standing Regulations and 2015 Isle of Man TT regulations.
- Engine Types
- 501 – 600 cc, 4 stroke, 4 cylinder, Production-based motorcycle engines.
The Senior TT Race has 6 long laps. On each lap, the top position holders gets the prize money. The 1st position holder gets a total of £18,000 and the total prize money amount of this race is £57,400.
Having had no TT Races since 2019 due to restrictions imposed by Covid 19 2022 will see the return of racing to the Isle of Man.
