TBNI.Blog Social Media Needs Your Help :

The TBNI.Blog Social Media Accounts can be found on :
- Facebook : TBNI.Blog : Motorcycling / Technology / Photography
- Instagram : TBNI.Blog
- Twitter : TomBoyNI
TBNI.Blog promotes and advertises all road racing motorcycling events in the UK, Ireland and Isle of Man for free. Other events such as the Ulster Superbikes are also promoted for free.
The TBNI.Blog Road racing Calendar is also a completely free and secure resource available on the site and is easily imported to your own personal calendar on your phone / tablet /computer.
The Road Racing Calendar is, by far, the most used resource on this site with it being in the top 5 lists on Google of the query ‘Irish Road Racing Calendar 2023‘

Posts promoting road racing events constitute the huge proportion of this site’s content and each post is also promoted on at least the Facebook Page.
That is where the problem lies. Facebook, Meta and Twitter simply do not share our posts in a fair way.

The Facebook Page has in excess of 1k followers and likes yet, for example, the post promoting the first round of the Ulster Superbike Championship was shared with only 40 people! Facebook let 4% of our followers see that post. They then, very kindly, offered me the opportunity to have 1200 people see the post for £14. So, to get the message out to slightly more than those who have chosen to follow the page the Meta company expects £14 – and that won’t even be the entire 1k+ who actually wanted to follow the Page!

It is a similar story on Instagram and Twitter.
The examples below show that the Tweet promoting the fact that 2023 Motorcycle Racing was back on was only seen by 79 users and the Instagram Post with the proposed Road Racing Schedule was seen by 327, however 78% of those were from the hashtags, and only 5 users who seen that post were accounts that follow TBNI.Blog!

What can you do?
Very simply, if you don’t already follow our Social Media accounts then please follow them. They will not spam your timeline, and I am always open to feedback on the content there. Speaking of which you can comment on the posts, adding to the conversation or information on the subject or events.
But most importantly, if and when you see our posts please consider engaging with them, a ‘like’ helps a lot as it will increase the visibility of the post and hopefully let it get further and wider across the Social Media platforms.
Alternatively a like and a share of a post is like giving it a rocket boost. So a ‘like and share’ of any of our content you find useful would be extremely appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, in case you were wondering the site itself gets about 40,000 unique visitors a year, that’s about 110 unique visitors a day. Then of course there is the regular and repeat visitors and with your help in sharing the Social Media Posts then hopefully the overall numbers continue to rise and most importantly the number of return visitors continues to rise and that is the overall aim. More numbers to help the site grow!
Thank you.
