If you are interested in this sort of thing (which I am) I found my twitter stats pretty awesome for the 2017 TT Races.
I covered the fortnight, practice week and race week – live and had great fun doing so.
Then I had a look at the analytics for the fortnight and was pretty shocked.
I found the following :
@TomBoyNI had 57,408 Organic Impressions for the TT Race fortnight.
24,941 were for Senior TT Coverage! That’s just one race!
1402 Unique Hits from the UK and Isle of Man for the Senior Race Coverage!
So if you followed me during the Races or Practice, thank you. If not make sure you do so next time. I’ll be doing my best to keep you all up to date during the Armoy Road Races and the Ulster Grand Prix.
16 time TT winner Ian Hutchinson unfortunately crashed out of the 2017 Pokerstars Senior TT at 27th Milestone of the Mountain Course on Friday 9th June 2017 and in doing so fractured his left femur.
Michael Dunlop went on to win a shortened PokerStars Senior TT race with the Bennetts Suzuki rider taking his 15th TT victory by 13.3s from Peter Hickman and Dean Harrison.
The restarted race was run over four laps after the original race was red flagged on the second lap due to the incident above. involving 16-time TT winner Ian Hutchinson at the 27th Milestone.
The Tyco BMW rider suffered a fractured femur and I wish him a speedy recovery and a speedy return to the TT.
Just today Hutchy tweeted a photograph of his front tyre (captured by @manxathlete) – it seems explain an awful lot…
https://twitter.com/tweethutchy/status/874167574866558976Get well soon Hutchy – hopefully catch you back in action at next year’s racing!
Guy Martin picked up his 17th podium at yesterday’s TTZero on top of the Mugen – I think it is suffice to say he enjoyed it.
I enjoyed it too, and hopefully this is a class that develops more and more, Bruce Anstey – what a guy – hopefully he gets a seat on the Mugen again next year, he wants that 120mph lap.
