2024 Dubshed

2024 Dubshed

Dubshed 2024, one of Northern Ireland’s largest car show, kicked off the show season in spectacular style at the beginning of the month. Held once again at the Eikon Exhibition Centre in Lisburn, this year’s event offered two full days of displays and exhibitions for a ticket price of £25. Here are my thoughts and a few photos of the event.

2024 Dubshed : 6th & 7th April 20324 : Eikon Centre, Lisburn, Northern Ireland :

The show season kicked off in spectacular style at the start of the month with 2024’s edition of Dubshed. Back again at the Eikon Centre, Lisburn this year £25 got you two full days of displays and exhibitions. With a wind storm whipping up a gale on Saturday (and Sunday to an extent) having the majority of the show indoors led to a much more comfortable experience. Although it stayed dried, much to the relief I am sure of those enthusiasts who were displaying their motors outside.

By a strange twist of fate not prebooking your tickets was an advantage as the queue for prebooked customers was massive compared to those who just appeared at the door. The organisers though have already said this will be addressed next year, however that is about the only negative thing I have to say.

With 2 Halls full of cars there was plenty to look at. Hall 1 had its Dubshed focus firmly on the VW / VAG Group vehicles with everything from spotless classics to heavily modified modern vehicles, the standard of car on display was exceptional.

Hall 2 then took on the rest of the motoring world with everything from hypercars, supercars, JDM, drift machines and American marques all well represented.

Outside, visitors had a selection of member cars / club cars as well as a drifting experience which you could get yourself into the passenger seat of a drift car and experience the trill of the sport for (what I believe) was about £20. I only heard the price after the event and if I had of known it was that well priced I would have braved the wind and the queue to have a go!

Saturday’s crowds were reasonable, I got there early, and got a good look around, just enjoying the atmosphere and appreciating the huge level of work and dedication that goes into the show cars, from the design right through to the execution there is a huge level of dedication in getting a car to the standards that were on display.

I decided Sunday would be the day for the camera, wow, it was busy! Really busy, however the traffic was managed really well. I was last at Dubshed in 2022, because when I turned up last year the traffic was so ridiculous I gave up on visiting. This year, no such issues, so a massive well done to the organisers in making sure that issue was resolved.

All in all, a superb show and a really strong start to the 2024 Show Season. Dubshed has again proven itself to be one of the stand out shows and well worth a visit.

I have put together a full gallery (over 400 photos) of the show on the TBNI.Blog Facebook Page. Click here to visit it.

Below you will also find two video slideshows from the show.
