With the colder weather now well upon us, and also the fact that it is January, and in January everyone needs a little pick me up I would just like to pass on this important safety message…
Belt Up!

New images that have just appeared across the net suggest that Subaru is about to preview the new ‘WRX.’
Subaru are expected to be bringing a new ‘performance concept’ to the New York Car Show today / tomorrow (dependent on your time zone) and it seems that this may well be it…
Just a quick Welcome to the new 2013 Formula One Season, and moreso to the BBC’s newest and first female presenter…Suzi Perry.

I thought this would be a good potential way to attack, but not necessarily kill two birds with one stone. I recently purchased some ACF-50 (Anti Corrosion Formula 50) to treat and protect my new bike for the rest of the winter, from the rest of the winter, and after much reading ACF-50 seems to be the product to do that!
Here is how I have described it on my YouTube Video…
On a day that many Ken Block fans (me included) look forward to as much as the release of the next Gymkhana video today say the first official sighting of the Ken Block Ford Fiesta HFHV (Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle). It was due a day or two ago but got postponed, but hey here it is and just look at it, who gives the littlest of a sh£$ that it was delayed this thing is an absolute work of art.
No more words, just look…
Just a quick and shameless plug for you guys to all have a look at my PistonHeads.com Garage…
I have four cars in there at the moment and I don’t think there is a way to link to them all at once so I will just do it individually.
1. Subaru Impreza (1999)
2. Subaru Impreza (2002)
3. Nissan Micra (1999)
4. Smart ForTwo (2008)
Feel free to have a look or and a wee read, if you have any questions on the cars I will happily do my best to answer them, and in the unlikely event you don’t know about PistonHeads.com have a look at it, it is a great Car Website with forums full to the throat of knowledgable people.
Enjoy.
I picked myself up a rear rack for the bike this week, basically so I can stick a top box on it, in turn enabling me to throw a helmet or two in there if and when I park up, or pack stuff to take with me, such as a picnic!
The first thing I realised was it isn’t as easy as just getting a box, a rear frame needed purchased. Now to make things even more complicated, the type of frame you buy determines the type of box you can use, and who makes it. So if you want a GIVI then you need a frame that takes a givi box. Although GIVI make two different boxes, ‘Monolock’ and ‘Monokey.’ One Givi frame will take either, one is specific. See how it starts to get complicated!
I had read a lot about good air fresheners, something a little more special than your usual ‘Magic Tree’ (which to be fair I also like). So after a little research and a great deal on eBay I decided on the ‘Shasta Strawberry’ by California Scents.
I won’t labour on about why this is a good air freshener, it should be enough to say that this smells awesome, if you like the smell of strawberries you are in for a treat!
I will add though that I have this is my sports car, which is tucked away in my garage, for about a month now. The air freshener hides under the seat and although I have the windows open a little to allow air to circulate around the car the smell still fills the car. There is a vent on the top which you can adjust to control how strong the smell is, but for this having sat in an airing car for a month and still producing fragrance it is enough to say I am well impressed.
Oh and with these currently retailing at just under £2.00 delivered on sites such as eBay you are onto a winner!

Scoobfest is the biannual car show run by Irish Subaru website, ScoobyIreland.com and it brings Subarus from across the country all together to show off their stuff. It has made its home at the Junction One Retail Park in Antrim and as such promises stunning motors, an easy to get to location and something many car shows lack, something for the ladies – shopping!
This year it was joined by a few other websites, namely the Celica Owners Club, NI-Vaux, Irish Subaru Drivers Club, Subaru Driver’s Club Northern Ireland and the Mitsubishi Lancer Register.
The result of all this was a fantastic set of motors all in one spot!
This is a Charity event and this time round all proceeds from the show went to Cool FM / Downtown Radios ‘Cash For Kids’ Appeal, a great local charity! As well as this over £1000 in prizes were up for grabs, and in relation to those here are the results from the day :
