Ten Second Game Review : KillZone Shadow Fall

In a ten second game review I plan to sum up a game in guess what – ten seconds!

This time it is the turn off Killzone Shadow Fall. My first game for the PS4. Here we go…

KillZone : Shadow Fall is a rather mediocre game that has a few moments of brilliance. They are too few.

However there far too many moments of pure frustration where the developers have got it so wrong making things difficult to the point of ridiculousness, which equals anger, rage and an (temporary) intense disliking for the game. Which is a shame as it completely masks the good bits.

It does do one thing well… Visuals. As a release game the visuals coming through already point towards some great eye pleasers in the PS4s’ future.

Thank you! (18 seconds maybe).

RIP Paul Walker

A truly sad day and tragic event. RIP Paul Walker. I was a true F&F fan, from the first to the last (maybe excluding Tokyo Drift).

Rest in Peace.

From BBC News :

US actor Paul Walker who starred in the Fast & Furious series of action films has been killed in a car crash in California, his publicist says.

A statement on his Facebook page said Walker, 40, had been a passenger in a friend’s car which crashed north of Los Angeles.

He was said to be attending a charity event at the time.

He starred in The Fast and The Furious in 2001 and featured in the sixth film in the franchise which opened in May.

Walker also starred in the suspense drama Hours, a movie that is set for release this month.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department said the crash happened in the community of Valencia.

The car burst into flames after the crash
It said deputies found a car engulfed in flames when they responded to a report of a collision. Two people found in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

Images showed the burned-out wreckage of a red Porsche sports car by the side of the road.

“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organisation Reach Out Worldwide,” the statement on the actor’s Facebook page said.

“He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We… are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.”

Universal Pictures also issued a statement, saying studio staff were “heartbroken” by Walker’s death.

“Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast & Furious films, and to countless fans.

“We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul’s family.”

Walker was best known for his role as undercover agent Brian O’Connor in the Fast & Furious movies.

He was one of the leading protagonists along with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez.

Happy April Fool’s Day everyone. If you live in Europe it is pretty much over, however if you hail from the USA it may still be getting underway.

My advice to everyone today is be very careful of what you read, and even more careful of what ou believe. Companies more and more are jumping on the back of April Fool’s Day to try and look cool, hip and popular, some do it better than others, and some are just trying too hard.

22/03/2013 Gears of War Judgement Release Day

Today is release day for the latest instalment in the Gears of War story. This one instead though of focusing on the hero we have grown up with namely Marcus Fenix, it focuses instead on the rather ‘lippy’ Damon Baird.

The story basically picks up immediately after Emergence Day and follows the happenings to Baird’s ‘Kilo’ Squad.

iTunes 11 – It is Here!

Apparently the new iTunes is ground breaking, designed from the base up, intuitive, streamlined and ready to rock your musical library!

It is now here, and ready for download, and has been for a couple of days. I have been using at it now since its release and I quite like it. However I really liked iTunes 10, I know people said it was bloat, useless junk, however it did what I needed it to do, and for that reason I liked it.

So how then does iTunes 11 cope or compare. Well in my opinion at this early stage it copes, but only just. There is no doubt it is nice to look at but in my short time playing around with it I have the following questions!

Happy Call of Duty : Black Ops 2 Day 13/11/2012

Every November now, we are teased and eventually treated with the latest Call of Duty episode.

And as a result of this everyone has their own feelings about its release, some will see it as the pinnacle shooter of our generation, and some will see it as the biggest pile of n00b infected glitch ridden trash ever to be released.

Although the latter is no doubt exceptionally unfair and more than likely the comments of someone who has found their favourite glitch has since been ironed out, or at their first attempt of 0wning the battlefield became subsequently Pwned!
